Fresh off Ryan Reynolds' big-screen feature comes a new animated series on the Cartoon Network, titled Green Lantern: The Animated Series. Also, Warner Bros. TV just announced Tuesday that its Green Lantern [Comic Con] panel will take place Friday, July 22. The cartoon series doesn't have a premiere date yet, but based on the preview, it looks like it'll do just fine when it does launch in animated form.
Producer Bruce Timm spoke to MTV News in December about bringing the DC Comics hero to the small screen: "[The animated series] doesn't follow the direct continuity of the [live-action] movie or First Flight or anything that we've done before, but it doesn't contradict them either." From
